Sandy Cook n Yorkies Framed

Sandy Cook Name

Hello, my name is Sandy Cook, breeder/owner of "Pettibone's Yorkies."

I have been showing and breeding Yorkies for 25 years.

I started out by going to several dog shows to see what breed I wanted. I was only going to get one for a pet. I found a little female, which I loved so much.

Then.....As I watched these little Yorkies in the show ring--So proud, so happy and with their long beautiful flowing silky coats, I knew I just had to have one of my own to show. It was so emotional for me. It always brought tears to my eyes watching them go around the ring (it still does).

In my search for a show dog, I met Barbara and Bill Switzer. They owned "Am.Ch. Cede Higgens," the only Yorkie to win “Best in Show” at Westminster. Barbara called me one day to say she had a female puppy for me to see. I was so excited. I drove to Seattle and picked up my beautiful “Mary” ~ Ch. Barbee Mary Goodnight. She was the most special little girl, so easy to show and so beautiful to see in the ring. She finished her championship very fast. She had the most wonderful dark silky coat, which kept to the end. I showed her to become the No. 2 Yorkie in the country. I will always be so grateful to Barbara and Bill for trusting me with one of their beautiful Yorkies.

I love this little breed. They have such a merry spirit. I can't ever imagine being without one.

Here is a quiet restful day at home!

Web Design Notes

This has been a fabulous adventure for me that words cannot express. When Sandy and I started out over 8 years, 41 pages, and countless hours ago, it was because my little Myste' suddenly passed to Rainbow Bridge and I wanted another yorkie. Sandy asked... did I know anyone who could build her a website... and the rest is history! That was almost 3 years ago!

We started with a few pictues, and it became an overnight evolution of laughs, cries, hard work, and fun. This is more than designing graphics and web pages, it is, a true labor of love for the breed, for Pettibone Yorkies, for "virtual Pettibone's Estates," and, for me it is indeed a pleasure and priviledge to create these pages.

My babies (I have 2 of Sandy's) and I have danced to the music at 2. am. and searched high and low for just the right item, music, whatever to draw, paint, create to represent each personality,

Sandy Cook is a wonderful woman, she loves her yorkies, and works hard to bring to life the "best" in this breed.

We want very much to create for you a "fun site" depicting the personalities, qualities, showmanship, and antics of Pettibone's Yorkshire Terriers. Please enjoy the visit as much as we have enjoyed creating it for you.

I thank my Myste' every day for sending me this task. It keeps her memory alive.
